1. About these terms
This website is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered in [COUNTRY] under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”).
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Using the site
You may read, browse, print and share our pages for your own use and for the internal use of the organization you work for. You may not:
- republish our content commercially or present it as your own;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, including for the purpose of training machine learning models, without our written permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or any system connected to it;
- introduce malicious code, or use the site in a way that damages it or degrades it for others;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, images, audio, video, illustrations, the 7Cs of Curiosity framework and its associated artwork, the name The Curious Advantage and the compass mark — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law.
Quoting us with attribution and a link is welcome. Reproducing substantial parts, or using our names, marks or framework in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership, requires written permission.
4. Our content, and how far you can rely on it
The articles, episodes, research summaries and frameworks on this site are published for general information. They are not professional advice and are not tailored to your circumstances. Take proper advice before acting on anything here in a way that matters.
We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is complete, accurate or up to date.
5. What you send us
If you send us an inquiry, a proposal, a podcast pitch or feedback, you confirm it is yours to send and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.
We treat commercial inquiries as confidential. But please do not send us unsolicited confidential material or ideas you expect to be paid for — we work across many organizations on similar themes, and we cannot accept an obligation not to develop comparable thinking independently.
6. Inquiries, bookings and paid services
Nothing on this site is a binding offer. Keynotes, workshops, learning programs, the diagnostic and any other paid engagement are governed by a separate written agreement between us and your organization, and that agreement takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
Books are sold by third-party retailers under their own terms. We are not the seller.
7. Third-party links and platforms
We link to podcast platforms, retailers, our guests' work and other sites we think are worth your time. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice, including archived content.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings or data, arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Our total liability in connection with the site is limited to [CAP, e.g. GBP 100].
If you use the site in the course of business, these limits apply in full. If you use it as a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, and cookies in the cookie policy. Both form part of your use of this site.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION, e.g. England and Wales], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction.
